Mortal Kombat Part 2 | Outworld Sprite Animation. Unlike Part 1, this video is 90% action, and it has one of the best fight scenes I’ve ever made. The video was so huge, I had to remove my standard intro to pack all the content in. It starts off calm and goes into an all out chaotic and epic fight scene. I also included a short Earthrealm scene which gives you a glimps of what is happening in Earthrealm while Liu Kang and Kung Lao are in Outworld. This new version of the series will include many side stories. I plan to show how and why Sub-Zero left the Lin Keiclan. Human Smoke will play a big part in the Lin Kuei story and ultimately he will join the main story. I’ll be showing short scenes in the middle of my videos of Shao Kahn giving orders, Shang Tsung’s plots, and other events featuring Kano, Cyrax, Sector and more. This really makes this interesting and brings the entire roster of MK characters together in this series. I really want to use Chameleon in this but I haven’t figured out a good way to use him. In the real MK3 story, Chameleon is simply watching the events from behind the scenes. If anybody has a good idea for Chameleon, I am open to any suggestions. Video Summary: Liu Kang and Kung Lao arrive in Outworld to search for Sub-Zero. Kung Lao doesn’t really agree with Raiden’s plan; he thinks the search for Sub-Zero is a waste of time. While Liu Kang and Kung Lao are in Outworld searching for Sub-Zero; Johnny Cage, Jax and Sonya are fighting in Earthrealm against Shao Kahn’s armies. They are greatly outnumbered and are unable to hold of the enemy. Scorpion has found the Red Emerlad Shang Tsung sent him to find. Rain and Reptile are in The Living Forest to find him but they instead find Sub-Zero. Sub-Zero get’s attacked by Rain and Reptile and is unable to fight them off. Liu Kang and Kung Lao show up and save Sub-Zero. They quickly kill Rain and Reptile and are ready to return to earthrealm until Scorpion shows up. Scorpion and Sub-Zero fight it out for a while and Sub-Zero finishes Scorpion off. The not quite defeated Scorpion gets up and reveals the red emerald Shang Tsung sent him to find. He uses the power of the emerald to become nearly invincible and dominates Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Sub-Zero. Scorpion pulls them all down into the Nearthrealm and that’s the end of Part 2, and the beginning of Part 3 | The Netherrealm. I may create a website where I can share these graphics for other animators. I’m creating a Lin Kuei Grand Master sprite sheet for a later video. Part 5 will have a cutscene featuring the Lin Kuei and I want the Grand Master to be a part of the fight scene. Part 3 is under construction and is turning out very good.
