Have you Ever Seen a Rice Noodle Bug?

Jumping Plant Lice Nymphs (Psyllidae, Ciriacreminae) from the Amazon Rainforest of Puyo, Ecuador. With a very small body and super long helical wax tails, these Jumping Plant Lice nymphs have a symbiotic relationship with ants: drops of sweet honeydew for care and protection from other insects and predators. The long wax protusions brake off when predators try to catch them, providsing an effective protection. As their name suggest, their hind legs give them the ability to jump as a quick mean of escape if disturbed.
