Bill pushes to establish state Fire Marshal following Maui wildfires

About 40 years ago, the State Legislature abolished the position for Fire Marshal. It created the State Fire Council instead, made up of the county fire chiefs and recently added personnel from the Airport Fire and Forestry and Wildlife division.
