New to MTB? Try Mel’s || Burnaby Mountain, BC | Mountain Biking

Mel’s is a well-known XC mountain biking trail on Burnaby Mountain. Along with being a great cross-country mountain biking trail, it also makes for a great hiking or trail running trail. It has a gradual slope to it and a couple of hike-a-bike sections but overall an enjoyable ride. This trail could be ridden in either direction but I prefer going west to east. It starts near the SFU Terry Fox track in the middle of the university campus and ends part way up the Trans Canada trail. You could do this mountain bike trail on a hardtail or full-suspension, but the ideal bike would have about 110-150mm of travel. Burnaby Mountain (SFU) is located in Burnaby, BC, Canada and about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver. Learn what to expect on the trail, what bike to bring and how to navigate around the mountain. WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MY GEAR OR HOW TO SUPPORT ME?
