From the Vault: Tokarev TT-33

Join Brownells GunTech Keith Ford as he takes a look at the historic Tokarev TT-33. The Tokarev TT-33 is an improved version of the TT-30 designed in 1930 by Russian weapons designer Fedor Tokarev. The self-loading TT-33 was meant to replace the Soviet’s aging Nagant M1895 revolver. The TT-33 was chambered in Tokarev while its operation and design drew heavily from the FN 1903 and Colt 1911. During World War II both the Nagant M1895 and the TT-33 were used by Soviet Troops. If you have a firearm you’d like to see featured in the From the Vault series, please let us know.
