The new green busstops in Utrecht: ‘bee stops’

The roofs of more then 300 bus stops in the Dutch city of Utrecht have been covered in plants. Green roofs help with the capture of fine dust, which improves the air quality. There is worldwide interest in these ’bee stops’. The municipality has no costs for the purchase, and also no costs for the management and maintenance.
