Avoid the Complicated, Be Yourself. That’s Andy Brown’s Advice.

Regardless of your ability on your instrument, Andy Brown says you can say something profound with it. Starting simple and developing that idea is better than getting sucked into what might be an overly academic approach to making music. Andy Brown has made nine albums as a leader or co-leader and appears on at least nine others as a sideman. He plays regularly across Chicago, including weekly gigs of solo guitar at the Green Mill, and leading his quartet at Andy’s Jazz Club in the loop.  More on Andy Brown… Andy Brown Trio with Harry Allen - Guitar Duo with James Chirillo - Solo Guitar at the Whiskey Lounge -
