S-Works Aethos Workshop Premium Service & Upgrades by Ride 24/7

Welcome to our Premium Service in our workshop here at Ride 24/7. This Specialized S-Works Aethos came into us for an our full strip down service and some weight saving upgrades. The Roval CLX wheels were switched out for Lightweight Obermayer Schwarz Edition with Pirelli 150th Anniversary PZero Tyres and Pirelli Smart Tubes. Including 2 new Carbon-Ti Rotors. We reduced the rear rotor size from 160mm to 140mm. Sram AXS Chainset was upgraded to a THM Clavicula SE with Carbon-Ti Chain rings and a coated Ceramic Speed DUB Bottom Bracket (assembled using the Morgan Blue Competition Campa Grease which has an extremely high gliding capacity specifically designed for bottom brackets). You can shop our Ride 24/7 X Morgan Blue products in store and on our website. —————————————————————————————————————— A full deep clean began by removing all components from the frame. Degreased in our parts cleaner and dried with our compressor. The frameset was inspected for any damage before being cleaned and prepped with Gtechniq’s Frame Prep spray. We then applied new S-Works Aethos decals before we then Ceramic coated the frameset, handlebars, seatpost and wheels. We removed the old brake pads, checked the brake fluid and replaced with new Sram’s Sintered Copper Back brake pads. The headset was inspected, no replacement was needed so we regreased the bearings using Morgan Blues Aqua Paste which prevents oxidation of the bearings before re fitting them into the frame. Whilst the forks were removed we inspected the steerer tube for any wear/damage. The bike already had a Ceramic Speed Coated OSPW installed but needed to be stripped, cleaned and re lubricated. As this bike is primarily used in dry conditions we chose the Ceramic Speed UFO Pulley Wheel lube instead of the UFO All Round grease (which is more suited for the harsher wetter conditions). A new Sram Red XG-1290 10-33 Cassette in the Rainbow colour along with a new chain that we recently coated using Silcas Hot Wax Treatment. Before reinstalling the rear mech we checked the alignment of the rear derailleur hanger. We charged the eTap batteries and checked the Sram app for any updates.
