On his final day at the G7 summit, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he’s committed to sharing the COVID-19 vaccine, and insisted Canada and its allies take a coordinated approach to deal with China. But as Abigail Bimman reports, world leaders are divided on that issue. U.S. President Joe Biden also wrapped up his visit to the G7 summit, urging allies to take a hard line against China. As Jennifer Johnson explains, his next stop is Brussels for the NATO summit, where he’s expected dial up pressure on the communist government and Russia. In the United States, fears of severe water shortages are rising in western part of the country as the region moves into a “megadrought,“ creating exceptionally dry conditions across several states.
