The GT Academy was a program Nissan ran with Sony between 2008 and 2016 with participants all around the world, including wide online participation. The academy aimed to increase interest in and accessibility to motorsports, to discover the hidden talent of virtual racers, and to provide an opportunity for them to put their abilities on the tarmac.
