The story behind Bedrock’s “For What You Dream Of“ by Nick Muir | Muzikxpress 193

Subscribe ► Nick Muir is active in the music scene since the 1980s. He did release tracks under project names such as Cabala, X-Odus, Nemo, Floorjam, Monumental and also his own name Nick Muir. But he is mostly known for his long association with John Digweed, for their project Bedrock. In the year 1993 the Bedrock debut track “For What You Dream Of” came out. For this one Nick and John worked together with Carol Leeming, who took care of the vocals. “For What You Dream Of” really became popular in 1996, because it was used in a scene in the popular cult film “Trainspotting“. But not only the movie became a big hit, also the soundtrack of “Trainspotting“ became very succesful, which resulted in a re-release of the track, which then entered the charts. For this week’s vlog I sat down with Nick Muir, to ask him about the story behind “For What You Dream Of” and more. Enjoy and thanks for watching! Also keep an eye out for my interview with Nick about the Bedrock classic “Heaven Scent“. Subscribe ► 🏆 Advertising revenue for a non profit subject like this is really, really minimal.
