V-Ray | REALISTIC Cloud Rendering Tutorial

In this video you will learn how to render realistic clouds using 3ds Max and V-Ray. We will discuss on how to create a basic scene setup suitable for rendering our clouds. We will then use VRayVolumeGrid to import VDB data. This allows us to load, shade and render grid-based simulation cache files. We will then discuss all of the relevant parameters in the Volumetric Rendering Options. There we can define settings such as color, scatter, absorption and overall opacity. Additionally we will go through various Optimization Techniques to render faster and more efficient. I am using 3ds Max and V-Ray 6 in this demo but you can also use identical techniques for older versions such as V-Ray 5, V-Ray NEXT and V-Ray 3. A similar workflow can also be used in other software such as Cinema4d, Maya, Blender and different kind of render engine such as Corona, Octane, Redshift, Arnold, Cycles, CyclesX, Eevee and countless others.
