Hyenas Have A Giraffe For Breakfast | Maasai Mara Safari | Zebra Plains

A large clan of hyena feed on a giraffe in the early morning. Less than 1Km from Zebra Plains Mara Camp was this scene of spotted hyenas feasting, the big male giraffe that was a regular sight in front of the camp was no more, now breakfast for hyenas. It seems that there could have been a dominance battle between two giraffe bulls the previous evening, the broken bushes all around would fit with that theory, no sign of any lions and it is unlikely a spotted hyena clan would target a full grown giraffe bull.
