Make it Real: Grappling Hook Winch (BUILD)

SUBSCRIBE to see the final test! ► Building steps (expand the description): -We got 2x motors (), 2 ESCs (), batteries () and a servo tester () from HobbyKing -We designed the system and then machined the parts using our Tormach PCNC 440. -The revolving spool was machined by Peter on his 5 axis CNC machine. Check out his video to see it machined -The motors are run in parallel with a timing pulley to keep them in sync. Note that you cannot run 2 brushless motors from 1 ESC. We are using 2 ESCs controlled by the same signal. The motors turn a worm and spur gear with a 20:1 reduction ratio.
