Nikki Haley speech derailed by rowdy pro-Palestine protesters during Vermont rally

Republican US presidential candidate Nikki Haley vowed on Sunday (March 3) to stay in the race to the White House and urged voters in Vermont to support her in the state’s upcoming primary elections. “The Republican Party I knew and that I believe in is one of smaller government, limited control and freedom. His (Her rival Donald Trump’s) is one that is more about control. And he’s making the party all about him,“ Haley said, during a rally in South Burlington, Vermont, where her speech was frequently interrupted by hecklers. The state’s March 5 presidential primary is part of a Super Tuesday slate of 16 nominating contests that will bring Trump close to clinching the Republican nomination. Despite performing well with moderate voters, the former South Carolina governor has no clear path to beating Trump and Super Tuesday could be her last chance to at least slow the former president’s path to the nomination.
