Learning autonomy in our online English classroom for kids

🎈 A is for AUTONOMY. 🎈 L is for LEARNING. 🎈 S is for SUCCESS. To succeed and learn a second language properly, we need to introduce learner autonomy in our classroom. My teaching philosophy revolves heavily about your child being independent. My curriculum and the digital materials we use are made so that your child interacts with them in class. 💚After I share my material, your child will follow, click, and do everything! My role is to guide, moderate, and assist - and I always ask first before helping! Being independent and completing things on your own is such a huge learning and motivational step for the kids. Put yourself in your students’ or child’s shoes - remember how it used to feel when adults treated you with respect and had patience. 💡Sometimes one activity lasts much longer, but your child did it by themselves. How do you promote learning autonomy at home and in the classroom? Got any interesting ideas to share?
