Review: the JoLoAr Spanish one-hand cocking semi-auto pistol

Here’s an ugly duckling that I can’t help but love. Mostly notable for it’s unique slide cocking lever, the gun was produced in Eibar, Spain in the 1920s. The strange name is an abbreviation of the lever’s inventor’s name, José López de Arnaiz. Most of them are chambered in 9mm Largo, although a few exist in other calibers.
