The city of Krasnodon, located in the Donbas region, is the birthplace of ‘Young Guard’, one of the most famous underground organisations during the Second World War. In 1942, during the Nazi occupation, local boys and girls joined forces to resist Nazi Germany. Some of them were as young as 14 years old. Their stories can be found in the film ‘Young Guard Reborn’.
