’s-Hertogenbosch, Jheronimus’ city. From 1450 to 1516, Hieronymus Bosch lived and worked at a house on the edge of ’s-Hertogenbosch’s market square. Here he created his characteristic panels and drawings full of bizarre creatures, devilish dreams and magical monsters. Here he found inspiration and developed his major themes: seduction, sin and judgement. This was Jheronimus’ home. In 2016 the city of ’s-Hertogenbosch commemoraes the 500th anniversary of the death of its most famous son - Jheronimus Bosch.
