2022 Honda CBR1000RR R Fireblade - Walkaround and Specs

The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade is celebrating its 30th year on the market. It was a completely new motorcycle for the 20YM edition, built with an unyielding focus on circuit riding. The development of its 160kW @ 14,500rpm inline four-cylinder engine for 2022 has focused on mid-corner acceleration and drive: intake ports, airbox, airbox funnels, and exhaust mid-section have all been altered to produce more mid-range. For faster acceleration through each ratio, the last drive sprocket is increased by three teeth to 43. Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) has also been fine-tuned based on HRC riders’ feedback for improved rear tyre traction management and throttle sensation. In race conditions, a new material and surface finish for the pistons of the front Nissin brake calipers improves braking performance and consistency.
