Powertrain From Tractor PTO Parts - Tracked Amphibious Vehicle Build Ep. 5

Latest video: Fabricating tracked amphibious vehicle powertrain from tractor PTO parts to transmit the power to the axles which will drive the tracks. The whole day Monday and half of Tuesday this week I was trying to get the plasma cutter to work but the compressed air system still needs extra filters and water collectors and also a completely new line installed in the workshop that will supply the plasma cutter with compressed air since I moved the big air compressor further away from the shop. I didn’t get the plasma cutter to work at the moment and had to stick to the angle grinder when cutting out the flanges for the drive shafts or cutting material for the bearing housings. MIG welding the flanges to the PTO forks was a bit tricky - it spit spatter at the beginning and I suspected the material of the PTO forks being high(er) carbon content.
