In 2015, the Shibati area began to be demolished, and today’s Shibati area is full of ruins. There are two pedestrian streets in the Yuzhong Peninsula of Chongqing, one is “Jiefangbei“, the first street in the west of China, and the other is not far from Jiefangbei, called “Eighteen Stairs“. At Jiefangbei, you can appreciate the prosperity of the modern city; while at Shibati, you can appreciate the real mountain city and old Chongqing. The old Chongqing city is divided into the upper half city and the lower half city. Eighteen Stairs is located at Jiaochangkou, Yuzhong District.
