If you are ready challenge yourself and move on to Level 2: 📈HOW TO USE THE ZALETO WORKOUT VIDEOS: Each video lasts for 5 minutes and in every Level we give you 5 different skills. There are 2 x ball manipulations; 1-2 x turns; 1-2 x beat the man moves; a 40 second rest period where you actively recover whilst performing juggling and 1 minute at the end to combine all the skills together to finish off the workout. You perform each skill for 30 seconds non-stop. After each skill you get a 10 seconds rest, whilst I show you what the next skill is going to be. After the 5th skill you get a 40 second rest with active recovery and juggling. You finish off the skill workout with 1 minute of hard work, performing the skills in quick succession. SETS Aim to do 3 - 6 sets (15 - 30 minutes total duration). This video takes you through 1 set. Each set consists of: 1st Skill - 30 seconds Rest - 10 seconds 2nd Skill - 30 seconds Rest - 10 seconds 3rd Skill - 30 seconds Rest - 10 seconds 4th Skill - 30 seconds Rest - 10 seconds 5th Skill - 30 seconds Active Recovery - 40 seconds 👉 If you are doing more sets then go back to the start and repeat 👉 If it is the end of the workout then finish off with the 1 minute combination If you are doing the workout inside and can’t do the juggling please do toe taps at a slow walking pace instead, to help you actively recover, ready for the next set or to finish off the workout at maximum intensity. Start off slow if you need to. As you get more confident in the technique build up the pace until you are performing at match speed. When you can it is important to push yourself and work at a high intensity. These workouts have been created to use every day, to supplement your club training sessions. It is important to practice extra each day in order to become a better player, to sharpen your tools and boost your confidence, ready for your match day. For 30 days you can progress up through each level to keep your practicing fresh, taking on one level per day. The aim is to get a high number of touches and lots of repetition, focusing on five skills each day, so that you make improvements in those 5 specific moves and the next day take on a new set of 5 skills. Alternatively, you can repeat a level for a few days in a row, until you are ready and are performing each skill at a high standard. If there are any skills where you think you need to improve the technique then practice this skill in addition to this workout. Watch the skill tutorials or change the playback speed on this video to x speed and it will help you to breakdown the technique to master it. Particularly in the higher levels you may need to watch each video through once, before attempting the workout yourself, to understand each skill and their components because they will be an advanced combination of a number of different moves. In the videos we do the skills in a small square, 2yd x 2yd. This was to show you that it is possible to complete the workout in a small space, if you need to do it inside your house. If you are able to do it in a larger area then great - a 10yd x 10yd space should be plenty. If space is tight then you don’t have to do the turns at each end of the square - do the skill in one direction and return to the start, turn around and repeat. The only equipment you will need is a football. Make sure you are warmed up and ready to attack the workout. These are very physically demanding and we go straight in to high intensity football exercises from the start. We have kept the explanations to a minimum in order to keep the physical demand high throughout the workout. Use the 10 seconds of rest well, whilst I demonstrate to you what the next move will be, so you can attack the next move with 100% effort. When the countdown timer beeps: take your rest and watch – when the next 30 second stopwatch timer appears in the bottom corner get ready to start.
