Behind the Scenes of the Atelier: The 2012 Barbie® Fashion Model Collection

You’ve seen pictures of the atelier set that served as a backdrop for photography of the 2012 Barbie Fashion Model Collection. Now, you’ll get to explore the set and all its stunning details! BFMC Principal Designer Robert Best narrates this video, talking candidly about his inspiration for the 2012 dolls (drawing from the early days of Barbie and of the BFMC® itself), and the experience of seeing fashion created before your very eyes. In fact, as he elaborates on his inspiration, you’ll get to see more than a half dozen artisans at work in the Barbie Collector design studios -- our own version of the “atelier.“ It’s gently told, yet hypnotic and riveting. And it features dramatic appearances by all the dolls in the collection: Walking Suit Barbie, Afternoon Suit Barbie, Party Dress Barbie, Evening Gown Barbie, and Gala Gown Barbie.
