Zapad Group’s road repair and traffic control units of combat service support brigade continue to restore public roads, connecting Lugansk People’s Republic and Kharkov region, to ensure movement of public motor vehicles. A restoring operation began in October last year and is being carried out in areas liberated from the AFU. The roads leading to district centres and socially significant facilities are in main focus. Organic road-building hardware is deployed to carry out the work: graders, bulldozers, dump trucks, and road rollers. The servicemen deliver crushed stone with the use of dump trucks; then graders level the construction material on the road surface. Such method enables to maintain high rate of the works performed. ’Many people passing by thank us. It is clear they are really grateful to us,’ said repair and traffic control platoon leader with the call sign ’Gavr’.
