Tiny Rare Rusted Boley Vise Restoration - Full Restoration of Small Watchmakers Vice

Manufactured in Stuttgart, Germany this tiny (60mm jaws) Boley watchmakers vice is one of only a handful left in the world. The Boley vice company was started in 1870 by Gustav Adolf Boley (1835-1891) and is still in existence today, operating with just 17 employees. This vintage vise had been neglected and abused and it only seemed fitting that it was restored to beyond it’s best. This full vintage tool restoration is as sympathetic as possible given the age and rarity of the vice. A massive thank you again goes out to Ben at the Tool Addict channel for very kindly supplying this very rare antique vice for us to restore. We hope this practical demonstration of how to repair and restore a vintage tool will help to teach you all the processes involved in a restoration project, help you learn new skills and give you the confidence to practice them yourself.
