Frogmen Jump To Rescue (1966)

Portland, Dorset. GV. Westland Wessex helicopter hovering over sea, man in water in need of help. SCU. Pilot of helicopter. SCU. Frogmen jump from helicopter. GV. Helicopter, as rescued man and frogman are pulled up. GV. American plane coming in to land on aircraft carrier, the arrester gear fails. GV. Pan, the aircraft sliding sideways along the deck and goes off the front of the carrier. Aircraft splashes into the water. GV. Royal Naval Scimitar coming in to land on HMS aircraft carrier Victorious. The arrester gear snaps and the plane rolls along the deck. SV. The plane falls into the water, the pilot Commander John Desmond Russell can be seen in the cockpit as waves wash over the plane. GV. A Westland Wessex rescue helicopter above the plane with man suspended on rope trying to get pilot out of plane but failing. SV. Helicopter, frogman jumps into water. SV.
