Homeless pirates are roaming San Francisco Bay

Pirates in San Francisco Bay have increased their activity and have become a serious threat to residents and visitors. These pirates are often homeless people who use small boats to approach and plunder larger boats and houseboats. The police in San Francisco have not taken effective measures to prevent this situation, forcing people to stand up to the pirates themselves. The pirates are operating in five different areas along the canal: Jack London Square, Aquatic Center, Estuary Channel, Union Point Park West, and Union Point Park East. They have stolen four of eight safety boats from the Alameda community sailing center, an organization that teaches children to sail. The rampant piracy in San Francisco Bay is a matter of concern for local authorities and residents. Stronger measures are needed to prevent this situation and protect residents and visitors.
