He believes that if he had brought warriors to both clans, and not just to the NightClan, then that battle between the clans would not have happened. And if he and Lynxstar had not spent time together outside the camp, then the clan would not have been left alone on the shoulders of the Quickfoot, who took the enemy’s blow on herself and did not die. Ghost still believes that he does not deserve to be the leader, because he just took the place of the deceased Quickfoot, who died through his fault. Quickfoot never blamed the Ghost for her death.
