Bobby Charlton provides an insightful story into the 1966 World Cup game against West Germany as he presents Franz Beckenbauer with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the LWSA 2007 in Barcelona, Spain! Der Kaiser, as he is known on the field, was twice named European Footballer of the Year, Beckenbauer appeared 103 times for West Germany and played in three FIFA World Cups and two European Championships. He is one of only three men, along with Brazil’s Mário Zagallo and France’s Didier Deschamps, to have won the World Cup as a player and as a manager.
