1930s Marx Lumar Automatic Scoop Powered Steam Shovel Toy Crane Restoration 4K

I purchased this 1930s Marx Lumar Automatic Powered Steam Shovel in September of 2021 on eBay for $ after shipping and tax. I first saw one of these at a local antique dealers place and he didn’t want to sell his. So I started looking for one needing some love and attention. I was extremely happy to find this one in such rough shape. It was complete minus one track and in terrible condition. The gear driven shovel did not work because of the wear on the gear shafts and the entire body was covered in rust. This video shows the first time I ever casted urethane rubber wheels and tracks, the process went really well, outside of some bubble and air pockets I got on the wheels, this was due to the mold rubbing out of rubber as the air purged, going forward I will definitely be giving the molds longer runners as a larger rubber reservoir, this should prevent any of that in the future.
