Making A Puukko

Hi! In this video I make a puukko knife and a sheath from a scratch. I am a quite novice at blade making. The blade is 80CrV2 carbon steel. Before quenching I normalized the steel with three cycles at the gas forge. I used heated canola oil for the quench. After quench I tempered the blade at 200 celsius for 2 hours. That heat treatment should give hardness of about 60 HRC. The handle is made out of curly birch, birch bark, eben and bronze bolster. Wooden part of the sheath is curly birch and walnut.
