Eden Back From Russia (1942)

Titles read: “EDEN BACK FROM RUSSIA“. London (?). M/S of Anthony Eden sitting at a desk. He speaks to camera about his recent trip to Russia, mentioning his journey on the Trans-Iranian railway, the freezing weather which froze his moustache, his tour of the war area and the wrecked German tanks and bodies in the snow. He talks about a conversation he had with some German prisoners and of their inferior uniforms and equipment. Various shots throughout the speech show Eden during his visit, wearing a fur hat. He alights from the Trans-Iranian railway accompanied by Soviet Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Maisky and Anastas Mikoyan. We see Eden out looking at tanks and German corpses on the snow-covered war front. Eden ends his talk by saying that we must work together to win the war and to win the peace.
