SpaceX’s Starships Are Coming: UPDATE For Upcoming Flights According to a reliable source, it is possible that this year alone we will witness six flights of the gigantic silver rocket. And so, in today’s episode, we’ll find out how SpaceX is preparing for the upcoming flight tests and likewise check out what’s the latest update after Starship’s flight test 3. Are you excited? On March 14, SpaceX launched its massive Starship vehicle on an ambitious test flight that sparked excitement among space enthusiasts worldwide for the third time ever. Starship fell short of its full potential; its upper-stage spacecraft and first-stage booster, Super Heavy, were lost during its return trip to Earth, for example. However, the mega-rocket exceeded its previous flight duration, speed, and distance, bringing joy to the firm and NASA, whose Artemis program will utilize Starship to safely land humans on the moon. “Congrats to @SpaceX on a successful test flight! Starship has soared into the heavens. Together, we are making great strides through Artemis to return humanity to the moon — then look onward to Mars,“ NASA chief Bill Nelson posted on X (formerly Twitter). NASA plans to conduct the first crewed moon landing of a starship in September 2026 as part of the Artemis 3 mission. It will take a lot of work to have Starship operational in time to meet that deadline, but SpaceX is working out every obstacle possible. The launch was held at the company’s Starbase facility in South Texas, where four additional Starships have already been built. During a webcast of the launch, SpaceX space operations engineer Siva Bharadvaj stated, “These vehicles are slated for future flight tests just like today’s.“ “And, in fact, just this week, we static-fired our next ship that’s planning to fly and expect to test the booster as soon as the launch mount is free from today’s flight test,“ he stated. SpaceX’s “build, fly, and iterate“ approach will focus on getting this and other future vehicles into the air as soon as possible. In fact, Elon Musk, the CEO and founder of SpaceX, stated last week that the business plans to fly six or more Starship flights in 2024. Musk is renowned for setting ambitious deadlines, but it’s possible that one can be met. The first Starship test flight, which took place in April 2023, and the second, which took place this past November, were separated by seven months. Things are heading in the right direction, as seen by the four months that elapsed between flight two and the recent launch. Furthermore, considering the accomplishments of flight three, flight four should have an even shorter turnaround. For example, Super Heavy separated from the upper stage and executed a successful “boostback burn“ to position itself for a splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico (albeit it did not ace its landing burn). _ Join this channel to get access to the perks: #elonmusk #spacex #starship #starshiplaunch #spacexlaunch _ Hope you guys enjoy this! 👉 If you enjoy this video, please like it and share it. 👉 Don’t forget to subscribe to this channel for more updates.
