Great Cities of the World - VATICAN CITY with Liam Dale

This one is a bit special for me. I’m not a Catholic but I was impressed by being at the original site of a new civilisation; Rome and then of course you have the unique aspect of it surrounding the Vatican City - the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church and home to the Pope. I always like to mention some special aspect of a production shoot that remains a special memory me to me and this location was no exception. As the film crew worked exterior shots, the Swiss Guard slipped me down into the tombs and lower levels.. as a “tagalong“ to a tour that was taking place but I wasn’t officially there or a recorded member. I was lingering alone to get some steady close up pics near Peter’s tomb (Jesus tomb?) and all of a sudden all the lights went out - clearly with the belief that the site was empty as the tour had moved on.
