How to pet a pigeon

This is Madeira, a street pigeon (Columba livia domestica) that I rescued as chick. I raised her and she got really tame, so she enjoyed to be petted. I think she thought me as her mom/partner/something like this. Found her on 5th April 2015, she’s currently living in a pigeonry with other tame pigeons - still very tame, but not as tame as she was back then.
