China shocks US in chip war: 28nm lithography breakthrough! EDA software development success!

Welcome to VOC - Vision of China,In today’s video, In this video, we provide a comprehensive update on the performance of China’s semiconductor industry in the first half of 2023, analyzing the impact of the global chip market downturn and US restrictions. Learn about the development of the industry’s localisation rate across different segments of the supply chain. According to data from China’s National Bureau of Statistics, chip production in the country experienced a 17% year-on-year decline in the first two months of 2023, while chip imports and exports fell by 26.5% and 20.9%, respectively. Despite these challenges, the rise of the localisation wave and the shift towards supply-demand balance has led to a gradual increase in China’s chip production, reaching 140.1 billion units in the first five months of the year, a 0.1% year-on-year increase.
