Incredible 200 year old Classic Abandoned Southern Plantation House in Georgia
This unique old plantation house was built in the early 19th century, between 1830-1840. The family the house was built for farmed sweet potatoes, cotton and other crops to support the farm. After the civil war the farm was broken up into sharecropping and tenant farms but unfortunately most of the old sharecroppers houses have all collapsed or been torn down by now. Only the original old plantation house remains slowly crumbling away and collecting dust. House was last used for storage and lived in up until the 1980-1990’s. Loved the unique staircase layout as well as the beautiful fireplace mantles. Also interesting is that the house is built atleast 5 feet above the ground as the area is prone to flooding and lowland areas. Very neat old house with an interesting layout inside, obviously was renovated and updated over the last century. Thanks for watching. Leave a like and a comment below if you enjoyed. Thank you!
