“Why are you flapping your hands around?“ #shorts

‘Why are you flapping your hands around?’ 🧏‍♀️ A question no deaf person particularly wants to field…however coming from a child, it’s more understandable. Maybe they’ve never seen someone signing before. Although wouldn’t it be better if we just gave our children a base level of education about all kinds of differences, including disability! It shows when a child is just curious and wants to learn vs has no idea and has clearly been sheltered all their life. I think there’s no such thing as ‘too early’ when it comes to educating your child about diversity. In fact, the earlier you expose children to different types of people, the more accepting they will be. ❤️ What are your thoughts? 🤔 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- If you enjoyed this #short, check out the full YouTube video about LGBTQ representation in children’s media.
