Peeps Through The Window Of The World No. 79 (1936)
Titles read: ’PEEPS THROUGH THE WINDOW OF THE WORLD’.
Various locations of events.
In the United States of America we see various shots of women modelling jewellery worth nearly a million pounds. Among the items seen is the ’Star of Kimberley’, reputed to be the world’s largest flawless diamond. All very ornate stuff.
We then see a woman modelling “a new idea in macintoshes“. The coat is made of oil silk and the colour is sprayed on, going from light to dark. She wears a matching hat which looks like it is made out of paper. (Location is probably somewhere in England.)
Note: according to paperwork, item originally included a sequence about a new suspender idea for ladies called a “suspender slit“! It seems to have been cut before release - too risqué?
