Long and Short Stitch - Embroidery Stitch Tutorial

Take several minutes to learn the long and short stitch in this embroidery stitch tutorial. It may seem intimidating to do, especially if you’ve seen some of the amazing painterly embroidery work created with the long and short stitch, but the good news is, it’s actually really easy. You can approach this with methodical steps (I cover that in the first half) or approach it organically and freestyle the stitches which is my favorite way to do this. This embroidery stitch is great for creating solid fills, especially large shapes. It’s also perfect for creating beautiful color transitions and ombre effects.
