Batman meditates in between the crime fighting, collecting himself, allowing the previous chaos to dissipate - bringing himself back to the current moment and allowing for his full potential. Meditate like Batman. Take on the world like a boss. _____________________________________________________ ~ In every moment we are capable of awakening ~ 🌿🌿🌿 🔹The practice of awareness🔹 Many people have a general understanding that meditation is an act to bring you to some blissful state of mind. To reach serenity. To tune out the world and enter a trance-like state. Or possibly to reach to some other dimension - to transcend the body. To bring about or manifest some certain outcome. These may be helpful at times and often very useful, but this will not lead to awakening. Here, you’re not trying to do anything in meditation. It’s not about achieving or accomplishing or arriving at some certain state of mind. This is all just your ordinary mind - the reaching and grasping mind, the unsettled mind. The mind of awakening has no regards to this. If you are trying to achieve something, that means you think that you are incomplete in this moment, and in the next moment you will be fulfilled. You will arrive at some ecstatic state of being and finally experience everything you’ve been looking for. But this will always keep you in the future. You may notice that you are not . Intention brings you out of the now, the present moment. ’I intend to do something that will benefit me somewhere in the future.“ But we hardly realize we are already off somewhere else other than the present moment - the ONLY moment there is. Here, the point isn’t to wrestle your mind into silence either. It doesn’t matter if your mind is noisy and chaotic or if your mind is silent and still. Through simple awareness of your thoughts and not engaging with them, over time your mind will quiet down on its own. Just simply do not engage. Just watch. A very simple, but profound practice. Throughout our day, from first waking up to getting back in bed at night, we are very busy. Go, go, go. Do, do, do. It is rare that we take a moment and realize that life is happening now - we are living life now. Not in the worries of some far-off future, or in the discomforts of our past. It would behoove us all to bring our awareness back to the present moment and recognize our experience as it is. 🔹After Thought🔹 This life, this world, this earth... it starts with us. It is up to you to better yourself completely, that is the one thing we truly have control over. Imagine if we all were the best we can be in every single moment... how the world will reach a higher grace. Be honest with yourself. Realize what you’re TELLING yourself to be true. Realize when the mind is giving you an answer - distracting you from what was directly experienced and pulling all your awareness into your INTERPRETATION. This happens at all levels obvious and subtle, during every single moment of the day and night - which is the basis of our confusion. We will see a turning point in our lifetime. We will come to that point as a human race where we will turn to our demise or turn to the flourishing species we have the capability of being.
