Little Transformer Beetle from Ecuador

This little Beetle, Carcinobaena pilula? Cryptocephalinae (ID by Gil Wizen) from the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador measures only about 5 mm in size. At rest and when threatened it transforms into a nearly perfect ball which looks like Caterpillar poop and protects the head and all extremities.
