Singapore extends COVID-19 restrictions until Nov 21 as more time needed to ’stabilise situation’

Singapore will extend COVID-19 measures for another month as infections rise. The restrictions will continue until Nov 21 to help ease the strain on the healthcare system. The COVID-19 taskforce said a $640-million support package will also be rolled out to help firms through. Eligible businesses will receive about 25% wage support, while qualifying tenants can also receive rental waivers. Meanwhile, with both isolation and ICU beds filling up quickly, over 2,000 volunteers from the SG Healthcare Corps will be brought in to bolster the healthcare system.
