Kayaking with the SBX Sea-Based X-Band Radar Platform

The SBX is a missile defense radar platform with 12 megawatts of generators and a 4 million pound phased array radar. It roams the Pacific Ocean, and was in Seattle during the summer of 2011 for re-fit. These shots show it in refit then underway North out of Seattle’s Elliott Bay. Wikipedia has a great article on it:
