3D Modeling Realistic Longines Watch in Blender Hard Surface Part: 1

3D modeling using hard surface techniques in Blender to model a realistic Longines Avigation Bigeye watch. I start off creating the major shapes like the main body, strap holders, back plate, and glass to make sure I get the proportions right before I add more detail. At around 32:00 I made the back plate using an array modifier with an empty as an object offset with the merge option activated to reduce the amount of repetitive work. 39:00 minutes in I select a square shape and then rip vertices (v) so that I can use the loop tools add-on to turn the resulting shape into a circle, from which I will later reconnect to the main body. 42:00 minutes in I deleted half the main body, and used a mirror modifier to flip the result along the y-axis (making sure I clicked the merge option to merge the two halves. 48:00 minutes in I added the numbers of the watch face as text and then rotated them around the 3D cursor around the face of the watch. More to come so subscribe!
