It’s the case that F hole style mandolins project better than round hole ones. That’s why I came up with the new F style Celtic mandolin. So you can be heard in that noisy session down the pub. So this is a mandolin based on the old Sobell mandolin shape, but the woods, arching and plate thicknessing have more in common with old Gibson mandolins.
