I use this house rule in every campaign I run

This problem has been sitting in my notebook for months. I love the homebrew rule “I know a guy” but it never comes up in games as often as I want. It’s like when you hold off on using a really good weapon or power up in a video game, and then finish the game having never used it. It’s a fun game design problem. How do we entice players to use that cool ability that they’ve been holding onto? Kudos to David Nett for writing an awesome house rule. You can find him on Instagram here: Have you used “I know a guy” at your table before? How did it work out? #dnd #dndinspiration #dungeonsanddragons #dndhomebrew
