Organic Chemistry | Lecture 1.4 | Nomenclatures Ⅱ | ChemU

This is the fourth and the last part of the first lecture in Organic Chemistry. We will begin with solving different exercises on systematic nomenclature of branched alkanes. Then you will learn how to use ChemDraw, which generates IUPAC names for the organic substances. Afterwards, you will encounter widely used acronyms in organic chemistry. Lastly, we wiil talk about the common functional groups and their names. By the way, in the middle of the lecture there will be a little pause, during which you will learn about the funniest and least trivial names of the organic compounds.
