November 19 is a memorable date in the military history of Russia. It is the Day of Missile Troops and Artillery.   On November 19, 1942 at AM, near Stalingrad salvos of “Katyusha” rocket launcher began 80-minute long artillery preparation. Thousands of guns were smashing the defense of Hitler’s troops. The enemy was crushed by the devastating fire, and at AM the Red Army counter-offensive at Stalingrad, the operation code-named “Uranus”, began.
